The following Cocoa Beach hotels are located no more than a block from the beach and only a 1 to 5 minute walk to the ocean. These hotels have all the benefits of being very close to the beach, but the average rates are traditionally lower than oceanfront hotels.

SR A1A is a five lane road. In the map on the right, notice State Road A1A has a line drawn down it. The beach is on the east side of A1A (right side). Between A1A and the beach, there are no major roads to cross. Hotel locations are exagerated further left or right from A1A to emphasize which side they are on.
I've never heard anyone complain about crossing A1A to walk to the beach, but I have heard many who didn't have to say how nice it was not to have to cross any major roads.
