Residence Inn Cape Canaveral
This all-suite hotel opened in 2005, and is right by the port in view of the cruise ships. It takes about a minute to get to the cruise terminal from the hotel.
Residence Inn offers studio, 1 and 2 bedroom suites with queen or king size beds. All of the suites have full kitchens. They also offer evening receptions and breakfast buffets.
A business center and fitness center are on the property, and there is a mini-basketball "sport court." The pool at Residence is quite large and beautiful and also has a hot-tub spa.
As a guest you may park your car at the hotel while on your cruise. The hotel charges $6.00 per person round trip to the cruise terminal for shuttle service.
Because of it's location at the junction of State Roads 528 and A1A, it is not in ideal walking distance to local restaurants. You will need a car if you go out for dinner. It is also not a beach area hotel. Though it is technically feasible to walk to the beach, it is not practical. I strongly recommend taking a car.
